Yoga retreat Discovering yoga

Join us for a relaxing three-day intimate retreat, designed to give you the basic tools which you can use on a daily basis to improve your overall wellness. Whether you’re a complete beginner looking for an introduction to the world of yoga or you have been practicing for a while, this retreat will help guide you to a better and safer practice.

Through varied and interesting sessions led by Rasha, founder of New Forest Yogis and certified Yoga Alliance instructor, enjoy exploring, or revisiting, the essential postures and discovering, or rediscovering, basic yogic principles.

Sessions will focus on…

  • Basic asanas (postures) – to promote proper alignment, create positive energy flow, improve stability, flexibility and strength
  • Core activation – strength to position yourself properly and hold asanas for longer as well as promoting better posture and better overall health
  • Breathing techniques – breathwork that cleanses, heats and cools in order to promote clarity of mind, creativity and mental balance
  • Meditation techniques – promoting calm and relaxation to aid in reducing stress of modern living
  • How you can integrate yoga into your every day life

 

The retreat includes…

  • Pre-retreat questionnaire and advice to help you make the most of your experience
  • 2 nights’ stay in a double room
  • Approx. 7 hours of varied early morning and evening yoga sessions with Rasha founder of New Forest Yogis
  • Interactive talks and Q&A session with Rasha to help you understand what yoga is and what it can mean to you in your daily life and how to integrate it in the days and weeks to follow once back home
  • Deliciously nutritious and healthy meals

The first few days…

DAY 1

  • Arrival and welcome to the Manor
  • Introductory evening yoga session – Calming breathing, introduction to meditation, stretching and opening of the body
  • Group dinner

 

DAY 2

  •  Early morning yoga session – Core activation work and introduction to basic yoga asanas
  • Group brunch
  • Village & forest walk
  • Vegan afternoon tea, talk and Q&A with Rasha: Yoga Philosophy “Beyond the Yoga Asanas”
  • Evening yoga session
  • Group dinner

 

DAY 3

  • Early morning yoga session
  • Group breakfast
