“With over 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, I joined Burley Manor to head the team in 2016.

“With 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry, I joined the Burley Manor team in May 2016.

I really enjoy working in the Manor’s friendly atmosphere amongst a brilliant group of people. My favourite thing about it here is the tasty food and the people I work with.

My tip to guests staying with us would have to be to try out the outside pool in the summer! Grab a drink from the bar and set yourself up there for the afternoon to relax – You can’t beat the view”.


Head Chef

“I came to work in the kitchen at Burley Manor back in October 2016. Prior to this I was Head Chef at Solent Forts.

Our kitchen garden full of veg and herbs is one of my favourite things about working here. We utilise these fresh ingredients in our dishes daily and that is a true pleasure as a chef.

The beauty of running a kitchen in the New Forest is the ability to source produce from forest to coast and the unrivaled choice of local suppliers we have is unique.

My tip to guests eating here would be to try an evening with friends or family in the Butler’s Pantry where you’ll see your food being cooked right in front of you in our wood-fired kitchen – An experience like no other!”


Restaurant Manager

“I became Restaurant Manager in 2016 and really enjoy working with the team to deliver excellent service.

It’s great to see people visiting the restaurant, whether it’s for a special occasion or a spontaneous mid-week dinner, the team will always go out of their way to make it a fantastic experience.

My tip to guests dining in our restaurant would be to always try something a little different or new, whether it’s some of our rustic tapas dishes or one of our recommended wines of the week – We’re certain that you’ll love it”!


Assistant Restaurant Manager

I work along side Artur with the restaurant team so you’ll see me at breakfast, lunch or dinner time.

We are passionate about our food & drink so, if you’re visiting for a bite to eat my tip to you would be to always ask your server for their recommendations on sides and wines to compliment your choice of dish. There’s plenty of tasty bites to choose from so it can be a tough decision!

A table anywhere in the restaurant has wonderful views but if it’s a special occasion I might suggest a table in the conservatory where your view over the red deer sanctuary is really quite something, come rain or shine.



Trainee Manager

“Being here during the renovations of the manor and seeing it develop into what it is today has been amazing. I initially worked as concierge up until recently developing my role into trainee manager which has been a rewarding experience.

I really enjoy seeing guests and visitors having a good time and relaxing, whether it be in the lounge bar, restaurant or returning from a wellbeing treatment.

My tip to guests would be to take a seat in the drawing room, order your favourite drink or maybe find a new one to try and simply just kick-back”.

“Watching the transformation of Burley Manor since the very start has given me great pride to welcome guests and to see them enjoy it as much as I knew they would. It has been a fantastic journey from the start of the renovations right up until today and I look forward to seeing it grow even more in the future.

What I love about the Manor is the picturesque views and New Forest surroundings, the wellbeing treatment rooms and ultimately the team I work with!

My tip to guests staying with us would have to be to indulge in our tasty afternoon tea following a luxurious wellbeing treatment with Jasmine, our fantastic therapist”.

“With five year’s experience within the beauty industry I joined to form the wellbeing team in August 2016. Prior to this I worked within a large hotel group in the New Forest where I specialised in a wide range of spa treatments. Within my short time here I have progressed to Senior Therapist.

From my regular clients to meeting new ones, I love to provide high quality treatments and my favourite thing about the job is making people feel special and pampered.  My tip to those visiting us would be to lie back in our relaxation room before and after your treatment to re-energise and take some well-deserved time-out.

If I had to choose from our luxurious treatment list I would definitely have to recommend our rejuvenating massages and skin boosting facials as I feel very passionate about making my clients feel happy about their skin”.


Wedding & Events Manager

“Before joining the team at Burley Manor, I worked as a wedding organiser for Hampshire County Council’s events team in Winchester and also at Sir Harold Hillier Gardens in Romsey for the catering team helping with weddings and events.

I love that I have the opportunity to meet happy couples every week and get to see the end result of all the planning on their wedding days. You can’t beat the smell and warmth of the fire place in the winter and the stunning forest views out the front of the Manor.

My tip to guests having an event with us would be, when dressing The Barn – less is more”!
