Wedding Ideas Love nests

On a grey, drizzly day, the arresting sight of Burley Manor at the end of the long winding driveway was welcome. And it only got better, as we were met in the entrance hall by a roaring fire and smiling staff. The manor is full of country charm; plush furniture adorns every room and there are plenty of nooks for cosying up with a book. Better yet, you can retreat to the Temple Spa spa for a lost hour or two of total relaxation.

The restaurant serves up locally-sourced, Mediterranean-inspired dishes in an airy, wood-panelled space – be sure to nab a table in the glass conservatory at breakfast time. If you’ve fallen for the hotel during your stay, you can have your wedding here too. At the side of the main manor house is the barn; a winsome space where you can host your whole day. A celebration was taking place during our stay, but we didn’t hear a peep – which, whether you’re here for a minibreak or your big day, is exactly what you want.
