Chef de Partie

The restaurant, which sits at the heart of our luxury four-star grown-up’s only Manor, takes inspiration from the passion for ingredients and the warm, relaxed way of the Mediterranean lifestyle. Relaunched in 2016 after a £2 million refurbishment, Burley Manor now has 40 individually designed boutique rooms and suites, two treatments rooms offering Temple Spa experiences, and two rustic-style barns for weddings, events and meetings.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

Have at least 1 years previous experience working in a busy professional kitchen

Have a good understanding of all basic cooking techniques.

Have the ability to deliver excellent standards and display a willingness to learn

Possess the desire to develop your skills as well as show creativity and passion in your work

Have a friendly and positive attitude

Be highly motivated, proactive and reliable

To be clean and tidy, conforming to all food and hygiene legislation

Be available to work 48 hours per week on a split shift rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays and during busy holiday periods.

YOU WILL RECEIVE

Up to £22,000 per annum, depending on experience

28 days holiday per year plus a duvet day on your birthday (contracted roles only)

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

Available to work early or late shifts including evenings, weekends, bank holidays and throughout holiday periods

Experience in a customer facing role preferable but not essential as training will be provided

have excellent customer service skills and an understanding of the importance of food and drink allergen and hygiene practice.

Be friendly and cheerful, have excellent communication skills and the ability to conduct yourself in a professional manner

Have own transport as public transport links are limited.

SALARY & BENEFITS

Competitive salary – up to £8.50 per hour depending on experience and venue

SALARY & BENEFITS

Earn a competitive apprentice wage of £5 per hour whilst gaining a recognised qualification

You will benefit from working within a busy and vibrant team reporting directly to the Head Chef whilst undertaking well recognised apprenticeship training.

You will be part of our dedicated Umbrella Apprenticeship training partnership: made up of 70% on the job experience, 20% mentoring & coaching and just 10% classroom learning

Successful candidates will be given a full set of knives, chef whites and shoes
